I've seen him live. I've got all the records. I've even been to a few of his workshops. Someday I hope to get to where he is.

Wow... He has great style too. Have you heard of Kaki King? She is amazing too. Check her out on YouTube as well.

I went ahead and listened to and watched a number of the videos on YouTube featuring Kaki. Nice style and excellent technique. She's still quite young compared to Don Ross, (He's 47 years old), and she shows excellent promise for the future. I really enjoyed her playing.

I've been following Don Ross for years and years. He is the only person ever to have won the prestigious US National Fingerstyle Championship twice. His technique, his phrasing, his execution and his passion sets him apart from most others. Watch a few of his other videos on YouTube and you'll see what I mean.

I did indeed watch a number of Don's videos on YouTube and agree with you. His style, phrasing and executions were great but I most enjoyed the obvious passion he has for his instrument.

I've been playing guitar for a long time, although stylistically nothing like either Don or Kaki. I still find myself challenged by some of the songs I write and play, which is probably why I haven't sought different ways to play it such as these two have.
